Engineering Research Project: Celestial Intelligence, Trained AI-Models enabling detection of exoplanets using NASA's FLUX data

This Engineering Research project was presented by Ansh Singh, and Frank Trieu at LA County's Science and Engineering Fair. We trained and tested four different AI-Models each with unique strengths and weaknesses to analyze public NASA's known FLUX dataset to determine the presence of exoplanets. Comparing each process and analyzing how each AI-Model functions uniquely, we were able to achieve 99.18% accuracy on Convolutional Neural Networks, with more reliable and efficient methodology than traditional exoplanet detection. Along with future applications of FLUX data analysis, from heartbeat monitoring in the medical field, to water FLUX data in determining contamination. This project offers a glimpse in the vast applications of Artificial Intelligence in assisting humans for a brightful future.
